LMFT-Associate under supervision
About Austin Willhelm
As a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT-Associate), I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate their unique challenges and find healing and growth. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, where we work together as a team to explore your concerns and develop effective strategies for positive change. I value diversity and inclusivity and am committed to creating a welcoming environment for clients of all backgrounds.
With training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I also offer a powerful therapeutic tool for addressing trauma and its impact on your life. EMDR can help alleviate distressing symptoms and promote the resolution of traumatic experiences, allowing you to move towards a place of healing and resilience.
In addition to trauma-focused therapy, I also work with anxiety and depression. These common mental health challenges can significantly impact your daily life and overall well-being. Through evidence-based techniques and compassionate support, I will work with you to explore the underlying causes of your anxiety and depression, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience.
Currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy at TWU, I am deeply passionate about understanding and researching trauma to contribute to the advancement of therapeutic interventions.
I am honored to walk alongside you on your therapeutic journey, supporting you in gaining insight, building resilience, and developing healthier relationships. Together, we can work towards creating lasting and meaningful change in your life.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to schedule an appointment or inquire further. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
