Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate

ClaudiaAbout Claudia Lopez-Rendon, M.A., LMFT-A

As a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT Associate), I offer sessions in both English and Spanish. I work with individuals, couples, children, and families as they navigate the challenges of parenting, emotional distress, personal growth, and connection. Whether you are a parent adapting to your child’s changing needs or a teen navigating self-discovery and independence, I am here to support you.

My work is rooted in Attachment Theory, Humanistic and Experiential Models, and Family Systems Theory, using a client-centered approach that meets individuals and families where they are. I am ART-trained (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) and integrate trauma-informed care to help clients process distressing experiences, reduce emotional overwhelm, and improve emotional regulation. I also have clinical experience supporting clients through postpartum-related crises, including anxiety, mood disturbances, emotional overwhelm, and adjustment challenges following childbirth.

In my work with children and adolescents, I incorporate effective parenting tools and utilize Play Therapy, Sand Therapy, and Lego Therapy to support emotional expression and communication. I find it deeply meaningful to walk alongside families as they move through each stage of development, helping them strengthen relationships through psychoeducation, emotional awareness, and learning how to communicate their needs effectively.

As a therapist, I bring warmth, presence, and a natural sense of empathy into each session. From a young age, I was drawn to understanding others’ emotions and was often the person people trusted for guidance. That calling continues to guide my work today. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, seen, and accepted just as they are.

Helping others truly brings me joy. It is an honor to support children and families in our community. Whether you are navigating uncertainty, adjusting after childbirth, or seeking to reconnect with what matters most, I look forward to walking alongside you; in the language that feels most comfortable for you.
